SOL-LA Music Academy

Founded in 2007, SOL-LA Music Academy is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit performing arts community school, in Santa Monica, California, whose mission is to provide high quality music education to students from all backgrounds and economic circumstances, in an engaging and encouraging environment, fostering achievement and community. SOL-LA is proud to have become a collaborative resource in the community, helping to build strong partnerships among schools, teachers, leaders in the community, and organizations like the BroadStage. Additionally, SOL-LA provides sustained free music education and instruments to Saint Anne School, the only non-public title 1 school in the Santa Monica-Malibu district.
SMC Applied Music Program

Since 2001, the Applied Music Program has provided music students with affordable private instruction in preparation for transfer as music majors to four-year universities or conservatories. Program participants receive instruction in various stylistic/historical musical traditions in voice, an instrument, or composition. This program is in high demand and by audition. Santa Monica College is one of the most successful transfer institutions to the University of California, California State University, Loyola Marymount University, and many other four-year schools, universities, and music conservatories.
Samohi Jazz Combo

The Santa Monica High School (Samohi) Jazz Combo is an award-winning group of accomplished high school musicians that play a range of jazz standards, blues, Latin and funk music. The Combo showcases the talents of these young players and allows them to get real life experience by performing at a wide range of concerts and special events.
Elemental Music

Elemental Music is a nonprofit organization that has provided more than 3,500 students with inspiring music education experiences since 2004. Our mission is to celebrate music-making and build community through exceptional youth education programs. More than half of our students receive free tuition or need-based scholarships to participate in our programs. Our ensembles for band, choir, classical guitar, orchestra, and chamber music, as well as private lesson and in-school music programs, comprehensively address the needs of over 700 motivated young musicians each year.
