Gregg Treinish founded the group called Adventure Scientists in 2011 with a strong passion for both scientific discovery and exploration. Through his experiences researching lynx, wolverines, bears, owls, and sturgeon, he realized that athletes in the remote outdoors can be ideal partners for scientific data collection. He has been named an Ashoka Fellow as a leading social entrepreneur, was a member of the 2018 Grist 50, and was named National Geographic Adventurer of the Year in 2008.
