UP NEXT: Breath Art Workshops and Student Performance by groundbreaking Beatboxer, Vocal Percussionist and Breath Artist, Dominic “Shodekeh” Talifero.

Don't miss the free pre-show created by guest artist, Shodekeh Talifero, with Santa Monica College students.
Through their participation in Shodekeh's Breath Art workshops, the students co-created a sonic vocal work to share in SMC Barrett Gallery, just steps from BroadStage.
Come at 6:45PM to listen and relax before the main stage performance of Shodekeh's Vodalities: Paradigms of Consciousness for the Human Voice with Sō Percussion

Each season, in collaboration with BroadStage artists, a variety of participatory workshops and gatherings are offered on and off site. There are a wide range of choices from attending playful dance workshops to learning a singer's breath techniques, from listening to an online conversation about climate change to walking across a college campus acknowledging the trees and land. Check back here for constant updates and new opportunities.

BroadStage dove into creating digital panels and conversations during the pandemic.  These now live in our Artists Library for you to enjoy. Stay tuned for more reimagined ways to dialogue about the art presented at BroadStage.

BroadStage has ever-growing partnerships in Santa Monica that allow us to interact with new audiences and directly support local programs and events. We participate in city and college festivals, provide arts education for the local schools, and offer mentorship in arts administration, contributing to the artistic wellbeing of our greater community.
